The $25 screening fee covers the cost of Naborly’s identity, employment, and income verification and credit pull from Equifax. It also covers a Naborly Passport membership which enables tenants to build credit with their rent payments and re-share their application with any landlord they want.

If you have chosen to pay for the Naborly screening, you will be charged when the applicant successfully submits their Application. Any not opened or opened - not complete Applications will not be charged. Please note that if there are unverified documents in the Application, you will still be charged. You will be asked to provide payment information right before sending out your Application.
Tenant
A) If your prospective landlord has asked you to pay for the screening:
- You will be asked for your payment details before you begin the Application. You will have the option to subscribe to Naborly Passport or pay for a Single-Use Screening. You will be charged once you complete the payment details.
B) If your prospective landlord is paying for the screening:
- You will still have the option to subscribe to Naborly Passport. However, if you opt in, you will not be charged until a year from now, since the landlord has covered your first year of Passport subscription. If you do not want Passport, you can choose the Single-Use Application option, where you will not be enrolled into Naborly Passport or asked to input any payment information.
Please note the $25 fee covers the processing of one person’s application and information. If there are two co-applicants (ie. husband and wife) applying for a property, the fee would be $50 total.
