What if I have income from a rental property?

If you receive income from a rental or investment property, please follow the advice below to most effectively show your income with verifiable income documents:

1. In the Financial Information section of the Application, please select Self-Employed from the Income Source Type drop-down menu

2. Under Company Name, please write "Rental Property"

3. Under What's your job position, please write "Owner"

4. In the Documents section, you will be asked to upload two documents. Please upload 2 of the following documents:

     a) Your bank statement showing the deposit of the rent payment, dated within 30 days, with your full name clearly visible on the document

and/or

     b) Your lease agreement with your tenant stating the agreed rental amount

and/or

    c) A second monthly bank statement from a different month also showing the rent deposit.

Note: The deposit amount on your bank statement should match the amount agreed upon in the lease agreement.
